THE winners of the mixed doubles bowls competition, held at Lowerhouse Bowling Club last Sunday, was won by David and Vicky Peat who received the £100 first prize.
The runners-up, who received £50 pounds, were Janet Shaw and Bernard Ashworth.
The event was kindly sponsored by Birds Chippy of Rosegrove and the bowling club would like to thank Ken and Jules for their generosity.
THE youngsters from Rosegrove who had taken part in the video project which involved bullying, anti- social behaviour, litter and dog fouling were taken to the Bowling Alley in Burnley and treated to a meal and some ten pin bowling.
The parents will be invited to attend a presentation shortly to see the result of their children's efforts.
