A CONCERT is being held tonight (Fri April 16) in memory of a Prestwich woman who devoted her life to campaigning for peace.
A celebration of the life of Norma Wilson will be included in the Spring Concert For Peace, held this evening at the Longfield Suite.
Mrs Wilson, who used to organise the annual peace concert, died last year at the age of 59 and was involved in Prestwich and Whitefield CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) as well as working for Greater Manchester and District CND.
The concert will also feature Stanley Accrington, Manchester Community Choir, Bernie Murphy and poet Carol Batton.
It starts at 8pm and runs until 11pm, tickets are £7 and £5 for concessions. Contact the Longfield Suite on 253 7227.
