TWO local pub darts teams are chasing the coveted title of Boddington's darts champions of 2004 - and a share of the £11,600 prize fund which goes with it.
Darts players from the Royal Oak in Skerton, and The Cheiftain, Morecambe will be among 64 elite teams from around the North West competing for the title on Sunday at New Century House, Manchester..
The Boddingtons Darts Championship is the largest regional pub darts competition in the UK - starting six months ago with more than 750 teams in the first round.
Top Darts compere Phil Jones, from Sky Sports, will be introducing the championship and giving out the prizes.
Doors open at 10am and play, which starts at noon, is scheduled to run through until 7pm - with the bar open throughout. The event is open to the general public.
