BURNLEY Football Club's ticket office has installed a bell but bosses today denied it's an emergency help button. They said it's a way of recording season ticket sales.
The office in Harry Potts Way has also installed a thermometer to represent season ticket sales with a winning line of 8,500.
Everytime a ticket is sold, staff ring the bell which reverberates throughout the offices so everyone will know that the club is one step closer to its goal.
It is hoped the quirky move will boost team spirit and encourage staff working at Turf Moor.
Dave Edmundson, Burnley FC's chief executive, said: "Every time we sell a season ticket, the bell will ring and echo through the offices to take us one nearer to the break-even point.
"It's an idea I have pinched from the Chicago Bulls."
Rex and Eileen Marsden are pictured buying tickets from ticket office supervisor Elaine Clare.
