A COUPLE who spent a lifetime collecting antiques and artefacts could see them all sold off in one fell swoop as part of a reality TV programme.
Colin and Valerie Jeffery will be stars of the show Everything Must Go! on ITV.
Cameras will film at their home in Woodhill Grove, Prestwich, on Monday (April 19) , as they stage a massive house clearance sale in front of the nation.
The couple are down-sizing their three-bedroom semi for a plush apartment in The Radius complex, on the former Sainsbury's site.
After suffering a stroke two years ago, Colin uses a wheelchair to get about and their current home is on a steep hill, making access difficult.
The couple's daughter, Georgie Ashworth, who also lives in Prestwich, nominated her parents for the show.
She said: "When my mum said they were moving into a flat I said there was no way she could take all her stuff with her. I contacted the producers to see if they could help. They came round last week and said they wanted to film on Monday. It's all been a bit of a rush, but I think it will be great fun."
Valerie has collected rooms full of ornaments, 1920s jewellery, feather capes and stamps over the years and all of it will go on sale.
Anything that isn't sold to her friends, neighbours and passers-by from 3pm on Monday, will go to auction for the show's off-shoot programme Under The Hammer.
Any money raised will go towards buying a new wheelchair for Colin and new furniture for the new flat.
Georgie added: "My mum is a professional hoarder. She can't stop herself and has some amazing stuff. But the new flat is very minimalistic. I just found it hysterical that she thought she could take everything with her. Now she will have to buy everything new."
Anyone wishing to pick up a bargain, can call into the Jefferys' home from 3pm on Monday.
