RESIDENTS are to get a new service this month aimed at tackling burning issues in the community.
People living in Ramsbottom and Tottington are to benefit from Bury Council's new Information Points.
The information points are part of the council's wide-ranging programme to revolutionise the way it communicates with residents.
Ramsbottom and Tottington libraries will be the first to get the information points, which will be rolled out over the next few months.
They are designed to improve services, making information and help more accessible and easier to use.
Customers can already make non-cash payments at the two libraries, including paying council tax.
Coun Wayne Campbell, Bury Council executive member for resources, said: "People will be able to pop in to the library and speak to dedicated staff about issues which concern them."
The council will be seekings residents' opinions and comments, which will be asked for as soon as the service starts.
