I LIVE in Blackpool and Joan Humble is my MP. I have a teenage daughter hoping to go to university. I do not have a lot of money, on the other hand, luckily, we are not poor.
We were pleased when our MP voted against top-up fees. The Government only got this betrayal through the Commons by five votes. The next time it came up they could lose. We hope so. For us, like many other people, the implications are very serious.
Just recently the question came up again. This time the Government went up to 28. We were very upset.
This turned to anger when we read the next day that Joan Humble is one of the 'turncoats'.
If she wants the votes in this house again she has a lot of explaining to do. Many parents and young people are waiting.
She could call us as to why she did a 'u-turn' on top-up fees, by replying to this letter.
