EVER thought about adopting or fostering a child? Blackpool Council is offering you the chance to find out more.
The council's family placement team is holding an open day on Wednesday, April 21at the Imperial Hotel, from noon to 8pm.
Foster carers, family link carers (who look after children with disabilities), and people who have already adopted will be on hand to talk to prospective carers about their experiences.
The fostering and adoption team will also be available to talk over any issues and answer questions.
Applicants need to be at least 21-years-old and have the room at home to look after a child. It doesn't matter whether they are married or single, own or rent, or receive housing benefit, as long as they can offer a stable and caring home to a child and support them as best they can.
