RESIDENTS living in a Colne street are celebrating after planners threw out an application to transform a former bakery into a take-away.
Residents spoke at the Colne Area Committee meeting on Thursday night to express their concerns about the shop creating nuisance, noise and litter problems.
The proposal to transform Burrows Bakery, Skipton Road, into a hot-foot take-away shop were also met by opposition from councillors who agreed with residents and traders.
