WITH pixel pews and the congregation logging in from their home computers, the world's first 3D online church is going to be a church like none before.
The Ship of Fools website (www.ship-of-fools.com) will be opening the Church of Fools as a three-month online experiment in interactive worship.
With a computer generated church, including walls, floors and pews, the service will be led by real priests or pastors who will appear on the screen in cartoon form.
Then using their keyboards and connected via the internet, they will welcome the congregation, lead the service and introduce hymns.
It is an interesting idea and the church is sure to get a worldwide audience when it opens its doors on May 11.
ONE of the greatest mysteries known to man has been laid bare -- just what is inside a woman's handbag?
The bagladies site (www.bagladies.nl) blows the cover off women's handbags, exposing the contents of over 40 purses in a unique look into the essential items women clutch closely.
Of course you will find all the usual suspects like perfume and sunglasses, but how one woman carried the contents of a small chemists I do not know.
But to balance the sides up there is also the chance to nose into the backpacks of some blokes.
THE internet gives everyone the chance to share their passion with others and there is no finer example of this than that of the readersheds website.
This site (www.readersheds.co.uk) allows you to post a picture of your shed and discuss the latest news on all things shed-like.
You can cast your vote for the best-looking shed, visit the forums to ask questions and even buy a readersheds T-shirt. The lowly shed is home to many people, be they beer brewing or wood turning, and now they can tell others just what they are doing in there all day.
