Yeovil Town 2 Bury 1: BURY'S first ever visit to Huish Park was one to forget for a handful of reasons.
Not only did they surrender a 1-0 half time lead to the league newcomers but also lost central defender Danny Swailes with a serious knee injury and had manager Graham Barrow sent off.
But just as disappointing was the way the Shakers squandered the chance of picking up three points against a Yeovil side who hadn't won any of their previous three home games.
It was an inspired substitution from Glovers boss Gary Johnson that did the trick for the Somerset side.
He brought on Portuguese striker Dani Rodrigues and the interval and the former Southampton trialist obliged with two goals in the space of four minutes early in the second half.
With the wind at their backs the home side's busy strikers gave the Bury defence plenty to think about for most of the first period without seriously troubling Glyn Garner's goal.
So it was somewhat against the run of play when Dave Nugent put Barrow's men in front after 35 minutes.
A long clearance sent Nugent and co-striker Gareth Seddon deep into the Yeovil half with the home defence backing off.
Nugent fed Seddon who was tackled just as he was setting himself to shoot and when the ball broke kindly to the youngster he calmly fired home his second goal in three games from the edge of the box.
Bury's satisfaction of going in a goal to the good was tempered by the injury to Swailes in the closing seconds of the half and the big defender didn't take to the field for the second period.
When the game restarted Matt Barrass moved into the centre of defence with Simon Whaley filling Barrass's place at right back.
While Barrow's substitution was forced upon him Yeovil boss Johnson's two, early in the half, were purely tactical and worked a treat.
He replaced Hugo Rodrigues by Andy Lindegaard and brought on Rodrigues' namesake for the ineffective Adam Stansfield.
Within minutes the home side were in the lead and that man Rodrigues, on loan from Greek club Ionikos, made himself a hero overnight by bagging both goals.
His first was a superbly executed overhead kick gave Garner no chance following indecision in the Shakers defence.
And four minutes later, with Barrow,s men still reeling from the leveller, he turned up in the box to fire home after a goalmouth scramble.
It was the home team who looked more likely to add to their goal tally and Terry missed a golden opportunity to double his side's advantage when he mistimed a header with only Garner to beat.
The Shakers' misery was compounded when Barrow was sent from the dugout by referee Cooper for a heated remark he made to the fourth official.
