A SUPERMARKET has given a new police cadet scheme a boost.
Asda, Colne, has presented Lancashire Constabulary's newly-formed voluntary police cadets with a digital camera.
The store's events co-ordinator, Sharon Hardy, presented the equipment to PC Mike Aspden, the Pennine Division cadet co-ordinator.
The cadets scheme covers the whole of the Pennine Division, which includes Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale.
When it was launched earlier this year the scheme had 125 applications and out of those 28 young people, aged between 16 and 19, were recruited.
The police provide uniforms for the cadets but are looking for support from the community to provide other equipment.
For more information about how to help, contact PC Aspden on 01282 425001.
