THIS month's meeting of the Cliviger Parish Council will take place on Friday, in the Village Hall, starting at 7pm.
Included in items to be discussed is a planning application for extension to an existing dormer at 28 Hall Park Avenue.
IN response to a letter from the parish council, the area around the Deerplay Landfill site has now been cleared of litter.
Lancashire County Council has also replied to concerns regarding the storage facility in Burnley Road, stating that the yard is scheduled to be cleaned up and secured.

ANOTHER table-top sale is to be held to raise funds for St John's Church on Saturday, May 8, from 10am to 1pm in Church House.

THE St John's Church Lychgate Fund now stands at around £4,000 after a donation of £2,000 was made from Renewable Energy Systems and a number of bequests from parishioners.
THE bowling green in Park Road is now open for use.
The bowling club meets on Wednesday evenings and an open day is planned for next month, as well as a bowls tournament for the May Day bank holiday.
