CHOSEN as "ambassadors to Belgium" were four guides and a guider from Notre Dame Grammar School, Blackburn, for an international camp as guests of the Belgian Girl Guides.
For Guider, Sylvia Wells, it was a lucky second attempt. She was to have attended a conference in Spain the year before but a French railway strike prevented her going.
Her trip to Wezembeek, near Brussels was something of a consolation prize.
