PLANS for Rossendale Carnival 2004 are well under way.
After last year's successful procession, which included more than 1,000 people, the carnival committee is appealing to local groups, clubs and organisations, including schools and churches, to get involved.
This year's theme is rings, which could include everything from Lord of the Rings to the Olympic Games rings.
The carnival will take place in Bacup town centre on Sunday, June 27.
It is a walking procession, with no entrance fees.
