I HAVE commented before on the number of times "artist's impressions" of grandiose schemes have never materialised into bricks and mortar.
It is good to see that the North West Development Agency (now, there's a real quango) has put at last a temporary stop to chucking our money about with wild abandon.
If the government itself follows suit then the price we will all have to pay -- after the next election of course -- will be somewhat smaller.
If the Sudell Cross area of Blackburn really needs more shops and offices, let those that want them pay for them. My taxes are high enough already.
