EAST Lancashire Hospice will hold a mammoth tea party on Thursday, June 17.
Tea at Three is part of the Hospice Care Campaign taking place throughout June to raise awareness and funds for hospices across the UK.
Thousands of tea parties took place across the UK last year in lots of different locations such as on lifeboats, up ladders, in trees and even on a tractor.
This year local people are asked to raise funds by holding their own 'Tea at Three' parties or ask friends and colleagues for donations during their tea break. East Lancashire Hospice will also be opening its doors to the public on June 17 between 3pm and 5pm for its own tea party.
Tickets are £1 and entitle the holder to tea and cake refreshments, with other activities including a quiz with questions based on tea and hospice-related facts and a prize awarded to the winner.
There will also be a raffle, tombola, cake stall with sunflower badges and merchandise on sale at the event. Tickets are available on the door - ring 01254 660900.
