A WORLD leader in the development of aero structures will host a science roadshow in Burnley for budding East Lancashire scientists.
Hurel Hispano, famed for the development, design and production of nacelle and thrust-reverser systems, will launch the Science and Engineering Roadshow at Bancroft Road, Burnley.
More than 400 students from across Lancashire are expected to visit the Setpoint Lancashire event to take part in interactive and hands-on activities. Setpoint is part of the Science, Engineering and Technology Network (SETNET) aiming for every young person to have an opportunity to participate in an appropriate activity linking schools to business and industry.
Exhibits range from a robotic dog that wags its tail to a 40 foot model of the Starchaser rocket.
Schools taking part include Gawthorpe High School, Barden High School, St Wilfrid's CE High School, Habergham High Schooll, Ivy Bank High School, West Craven Technology College, Towneley High School, Walshaw High School, Primet High Schooland St Theodore's RC High School.
