NEW vehicle barriers have been installed to stop off-road hooligans in the Hindsford and Atherton areas.
One has been placed behind Clarence Street at Hindsford following residents' complaints about menacing riders, 4 x 4 drivers and fly-tippers on the old colliery railway line.
Restrictions are at Douglas Street, Douglas Road, Green Street and they have also been placed on the new Atherton Valley pathway.
Cllr Mark Aldred said he hoped the barriers will reduce noise and dumping levels.
