IT'S not often I receive letters handing out bouquets to the council.
It gives me pleasure, therefore, to be able to praise the environmental health department on two counts.
Their prompt action in removing rubbish within 48 hours has not gone unnoticed.
One resident reported black bags full of waste left on the bridle path behind Rosedale Drive, Leigh, and another a heavy concrete bollard broken off and dumped on the path in front of their house in St Helens Road.
Congratulations to the authority for its swift action.
