HOW do you squeeze 80 performers on to a theatre stage?
Audiences can find out tomorrow when Blackburn People's Choir And Jam Factory crowd the platform in Darwen's Library Theatre.
With the two groups joining together for their first public collaboration, there could be at least 80 people squeezing onstage for the finale.
Blackburn People's Choir, now over 40 strong, will sing a wide range of songs from different cultures and musical styles, under the direction of its leader Jeff Borradaile.
The choir has performed at several recent Blackburn events and received much praise for its performance at the Civic Carol Concert in December.
The second half of the programme will see Jam Factory (pictured) playing in their usual inimitable style under the lively leadership of Steve Berry and friends.
The event will mark the half way point in a weekend of singing workshops hosted by the choir at Darwen Library Theatre.
Workshop tutors will include Lester Simpson of the acappella trio Coope, Boyes and Simpson.
Other tutors will be Mary Keith, a singer and songwriter who draws inspiration from all over the world, and Kate Howard, whose passionate belief that everyone can sing has given many hesitant singers the chance to try out choral music for themselves.
Tickets for the concert are £7 for adults, £5 concessions and £4 for groups of 10 or more.
Tickets for the workshops are £90 full weekend (£50 concession); £50 single day (£25 concession). Workshop tickets include lunch and refreshments both days and a ticket for the Saturday concert.
