HOLCOMBE Brook Sports Club have been voted the number one club in Lancashire by Tennis Lancashire.
They have also been presented with a 'Best Practice Award' in recognition of its junior development programmes and facilities project.
This Sunday (April 25) they are hosting a Play Tennis Day, commencing 2pm where non-members get the opportunity to visit and play the game.
The club is an LTA Mini Tennis accredited centre which ensures young players develop their tennis/co-ordination skills and have fun at the same time.
All junior courses commence week beginning April 26 with adult courses on Wednesday from 7.30pm to 9pm.
All standards are welcome to attend and open to non-members.
The club's popular Friday Junior Club Night begins on April 30.

HAWKSHAW Tennis Club will be holding free tennis coaching courses for players of all ages and abilities on Saturday, May 1.
Juniors, beginners and intermediate sessions will be held on 2pm to 3pm; juniors, advanced and club team players 3pm to 4pm and adults 4pm to 5pm.

ELTON VALE SPORTS CLUB are preparing for the new season and will be holding an Tennis Open Day from 1.30pm tomorrow (Saturday) when a social tennis tournament will be held.

The club have entered two men's tennis teams in the Bolton League on Monday evenings; two mixed tennis teams in the Bolton League on Tuesday evenings; one men's tennis team in the Manchester League on Wednesday evenings.
Junior (11-17 years) tennis sessions start at 10am on Saturday, May 1 2004 and will be held every Saturday morning during the summer.

BURY Metro Sports Development will be holding their first Play Mini-Tennis Festival at the Castle Leisure Centre tomorrow (Saturday).
Entry fee for the participating young person is only £1 and start times are as follows: Primary School Year 2, 4.30pm - 5.15pm; Year 3, 5.15pm - 6pm; Year 4, 6pm - 6.45pm; Year 5, 6.45pm - 7.30pm.
Professional coaches and local clubs will be in attendance and there will be numerous coaching workshops on going, information and advice available, and a large inflatable tennis play area.
The event is being supported by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
