A 15-YEAR-OLD girl is recovering in hospital after she fell 50 feet from a coal tip in Tyldesley.
Lisa Marie Pector, of Carrfield Close, Little Hulton, was with friends when she tumbled and fell down the side of southern Wharton tip, Common Lane, at 7.40pm on Thursday night.
Paramedics and up to 30 members of Bolton Mountain Rescue were involved in the rescue.
They carried her more than 500 metres on a stretcher from the scene and across muddy fields to a waiting ambulance.
She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from spinal injuries.
