A BENEVOLENT Bury man's cash legacy will benefit sick babies at Fairfield General Hospital.
For the hospital's special care baby unit has taken delivery of ten monitors worth a total of £6,500.
The gifts were presented by former councillor Mrs Pam Walker, of Nuttall Avenue, Whitefield, in memory of her late father, Mr Harry Green.
He lived in Bolton Road, Bury, before dying four years ago. Mr Green left money to be distributed among various good causes.
Fairfield Hospital was specifically chosen because Mrs Walker's six-month-old grandson, Leon, was treated at the special care baby unit when he was born three weeks premature.
Legacies from Mr Green have also benefited Bury Stroke Club and the Re:d Centre disability group.
