STUART Law scored his second century in a week as he put Lancashire in control of their clash with Sussex.
The Australian continued his prolific start to the season and finished unbeaten with 171 from 246 balls. It was his 68th first class century and 11th for Lancashire. His average for the season is now the small matter of 279.
His innings contributed more than half Lancashire's 335 all out, in reply to Sussex's 195.
Last week at Northampton, Law started the season with a century and yesterday continued where he had left off, following the early loss of Mal Loye.
He formed a good partnership with Carl Hooper, the pair adding 109 for the fourth wicket, before Lancashire suffered a middle order collapse.
Pakistani leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed had Hooper (34) caught behind before trapping Glen Chapple (10) lbw just before tea. After the interval he removed Warren Hegg and Peter Martin for ducks as the Red Rose team went from 229-3 to 292-8.
