CLITHEROE manager Lee Sculpher has admitted he's ready to play dirty if it means Clitheroe clinch the North West Counties First Division championship.
The Blues player boss hopes the Newcastle Town players are exhausted after their involvement in last night's League Challenge Cup final with Bacup Borough.
For Clitheroe need just one more win from their remaining two games to secure the title, and want to win it at home to Newcastle tomorrow.
"I was hoping for extra time and penalties, even the coach to break down on the way home - whatever it takes to make them tired," Sculpher said.
His remark may have been tongue in cheek, but the Blues chief is serious when it comes to not letting the championship slip out of their grasp at the final hurdle.
"We've had a tough 10 days but we've put in some very disciplined performances so hopefully that will continue tomorrow," he said.
Clitheroe's only absentee is John Paul Fagan, who dislocated his shoulder in training.
Meanwhile, Sculpher has backed RAMSBOTTOM to put a dent in Mossley's title hopes.
Vince Overson's men travel to take on Clitheroe's title rivals after losing 2-0 against the Blues in their entertaining midweek derby at the Riverside.
Sculpher said: "We defended well but I'm sure they can cause Mossley a few problems tomorrow as well."
