PLEASE allow us once again to remind the responsible councils of Blackpool and Fylde that we, the public, are still waiting for the replacement of the tram shelter at Cleveleys.
The old shelter was removed over three years ago when we were informed that the cost of replacing the shelter is approx £3,000.
If both councils cannot afford this amount to replace the shelter, perhaps we could suggest a collection could be taken from the miserable, wet and suffering public in the queues. If everything else is covered for the benefit of the ratepayers and holidaymakers out of public rates, perhaps we can get some action now -- not in another three years!
From two irate ratepayers.
