WE welcome a recycling programme, but it is evident that there are major problems.
The main one is the black box; it is poorly designed and too small. Also, it needs to have a lid which will clamp on.
Another problem is the bi-weekly collection of the wheelie bins. This is enough for the average family but a big problem for the large family.
Fly-tipping is back. One woman was throwing her rubbish in the street in total frustration. Most people want this recycling effort to succeed. Overflow from the tip to the east of the Roch River is spilling into the river, and the mountain of rubbish is delaying the sunrise!
We need more information; what to recycle and exactly how. It would also help if we were given an approximate time on the Wednesdays when they will collect. If we put it out too early, it can blow around; too late and it might not get collected.
