TWO people were taken to hospital after a furniture delivery van collided with a car in Hoghton.
The Pristine Pine van's trailer ended up on its side almost in a front garden after pushing a stationary Vauxhall Corsa up the road.
Chorley councillor David Dickinson, who represents Brindle and Hoghton, was on the scene of the crash shortly afterwards.
He said: "I had a word with the police and apparently it was the pine furniture wagon coming from Preston which hit the stationary car pushing it up the road before turning over itself. It looks as though the driver of the wagon had a heart attack.
"Apparently there was also a dog in the back of the car which managed to jump out of the broken back window."
A spokesman for Lancashire Ambulance said: "Two ambulances and a fast response car attended the scene of the crash. It went through to Royal Preston Hospital with two casualties but we assume they were minor injuries because no hospitals were put on standby."
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue, said: "We were called to Station Road at Hoghton at 11.10am.
"There was a road traffic accident involving two vehicles but all persons had been released prior to our arrival. We weren't required."
