WHEN is a pensioner not a pensioner? When they are under 70 and not eligible for extra benefits e.g. free TV licence.
This blatant discrimination against pensioners is disgusting, as is the state pension some pensioners are expected to live off.
Every pensioner in this country should have a decent living pension. Pensioners are a thorn in the side of the government. We are living too long and as one ages sometimes heeds to rely on the NHS more.
The government thinks we are an easy target and have nothing to fight back with. Wrong. We have one of the most powerful tools available, the vote. It is up to each and every one of us pensioners to stand together and use our vote wisely come election time.
