THE Blackburn Diocese shock "teeny tipples" report got a mild and bitter reaction from the town's teenagers. For there was a real split in attitudes to the suggestion from a Diocesan working party that legal drinking should start at 17.
Some youngsters gave the proposal an enthusiastic thumbs up while others thought the move would lead to troublesome drunkenness in teenagers.
