THE Cystic Fibrosis Trust is planning to celebrate its 40th anniversary in East Lancashire.
The Ruby Ball will take place on Friday, June 18, at The Clarion Hotel, in Foxfields, Langho.
An auction featuring jewellery, perfume, beauty products, football memorabilia, books and other items, will feature at the ruby and black tie dinner dance, along with a cheque presentation to the charity.
Cystic fibrosis is a disease that attacks the lungs and gut, making it difficult to breath and digest food. It kills thousands of sufferers every year.
The trust, which raises funds for research into the condition, is pleased to be celebrating its 40 years as scientists believe they are now close to a cure.
