READ have got out of the blocks quickly and head the Veka Ribblesdale League table after two victories in their two outings.
The reigning champions, who are seeking a hat-trick of titles, raced to a 109-run success at Whalley.
Having set 169, they bowled out the home side for just 60 runs.
No other side can match their 100 per cent record, but Great Harwood and Cherry Tree are setting themselves up as the challengers after they scored successes over Edenfield and Ribblesdale Wanderers, respectively.
Great Harwood set an impressive total of 227-9 in their home game against Edenfield and then skittled their rivals out for 59.
Wanderers set 184-9 against Cherry Tree, who managed a two-wicket success as they made 186-8.
