LESS than 48 hours after lifting the North West Counties League Challenge Trophy, Bacup struggled to get 11 fit players to start this game.
The home side took the lead on 10 minutes with a goal Dave Felgate will want to forget. Sean Cryer and Lee Kershaw lost their men, the striker ran across Felgate's eyeline and somehow got the ball between the keeper's legs and into the net.
Late in the second half, when Darren Emmett was pushed on, Bacup started to show glimpses of their fluent football. But it proved to be a little too late and they came away with what they deserved -- nothing.
