TWO men were injured when they fought armed raiders who had burst into Hollins Social Club, Bury.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery, after four masked men entered the Brook Lane club at midnight on Thursday.
They brandished a handgun, two knives and a large spirit level, and demanded money from three men inside.
The victims were forced to hand over their wallets before a struggle in which a 58-year-old drinker was struck in the face with the spirit level.
The offenders escaped with a small quantity of cash, but were chased along the lane leading from the club by a 52-year-old man.
He returned to the premises after being threatened with the gun, and, along with the 58-year-old, needed treatment for injuries to the face at Fairfield Hospital.
The offenders were all white males, wearing balaclavas, gloves, jeans and hooded tops. They all had local accents.
