A RECENT article on the This Is Bury website titled "Poor pay:It's the fault of the Tories" contained some factually inaccurate information about the National Minimum Wage.
The article stated that the minimum wage would increase to £4.75 per hour in October. The correct position is as follows:
On 1 October the National Minimum Wage will increase to:
£4.85 per hour for workers aged 22 and above £4.10 per hour for workers aged 18 to 21
From 1 October 16 and 17 year olds will also be entitled to a minimum wage of £3 per hour.
I would be grateful if you could ensure this information is published to reflect the true position.
