A DRUG dealer almost bumped into police officers as he was on his way to deliver cocaine and heroin to a customer.
Blackburn magistrates heard that as Paul Lewis walked round the corner into Sandon Street, he was confronted by police officers who had gone to execute a fail to surrender warrant.
He threw a container over a wall as he ran off but later admitted possessing the drugs.
Lewis, 28, of Midsummer Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply and was committed in custody for sentence at Preston Crown Court.
Neil White, prosecuting, said police gave chase because Lewis clearly had something to hide.
"He later told the police he had received a phone call from someone called Zoe who wanted him to supply her with heroin and cocaine," said Mr White.
"He admitted being on his way to make that delivery when he bumped into the police."
Kevin Preston, defending, said his client was well aware he faced a lengthy prison sentence at the Crown Court.
