IN response to Richard Simms' letter headlined 'Don't put the blame on television' about the Jackass programme, I have to say I disagree with him.

He didn't specify his age, but I'm assuming that he is not a teenager.

He needs to recognise that adults are more likely to have a rational head than teenagers, who are more easily influenced and can easily succumb to peer pressure.

I'm 24 myself and have notice that teenagers nowadays (without sounding too old) are a different bunch from when was once.

As far as they're concerned, anything goes. And their world most revolves around what's on the TV.

I think there's too much junk on TV these days and the programme 'Jackass' is junk.
