SPANISH visitors from Radcliffe's retail twin have been on a tour of the town.
Representatives from the twinned district in Seville were given a guided visit by members of the Radcliffe Traders' Association and Bury Council.
Carlos de Alarcon Rico, Juan Jose Abad and Pedro Peinado, all from the Chamber of Trade in Spain, were shown some of the issues affecting Radcliffe town centre.
During the tour they saw the effect the Asda store, on Pilkington Way, was having on town centre trading.
Over lunch, the Spanish visitors were given some background information about Radcliffe and members from both countries were able to chat about the twinning scheme.
Heather Clark, Bury Council's strategy, resources and European manager, said: "It was a very successful visit. Although the tour was quite quick, the visitors from Seville picked up on a lot of the issues we would be discussing with them.
"After the tour, we went to a conference in Manchester where all the retail twins were meeting, and Carlos and I gave a presentation about our scheme."
