POLICE are hunting a gang of men who allegedly surrounded a car and attacked its passengers.
The woman driver and two male passengers were left shaken after the attack on the car in Harold Avenue, Burnley in the early hours of the morning.
During the alleged incident, a blue Vauxhall Zafira was repeatedly attacked, leaving the windows and rear lights smashed and bodywork dented.
It is believed the attackers then assaulted one of the passengers in the vehicle. It is understood that ten white males may have been responsible for the attack. Four have already been identified and arrested by police but officers are still appealing for more information about the incident.
Of those four, three have been released on police bail and the other has been released with no further action action to be taken.
PC Justin Brown, of Padiham police, said: "The woman was in the car with two male passengers when they came across the gang.
"They surrounded the car and made the driver stop. We now want to hear from the passengers."
Police want anyone who witnessed the incident at 4.30am on Sunday, April 11, to call PC Justin Brown on 07984 316868 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
