SCHOOLDAYS, they say, are the happiest days of your lives and they certainly left an impression on Lancashire Evening Telegraph reader Colin Murray.
Mr Murray, who now lives in Carnforth, has sent in a photograph which was taken when he was a pupil at St Alban's Infants School in Blackburn more than 60 years ago.
Mr Murray, who is on the back right of the picture, remembers his school days as "the era when 'Dean' Moylan used to throw sweets in the playground and watch us all fight on the cloping cobblestones to get a mint imperial!"
Although he can't remember all those pictured, he has been able to name a number of his classmates.
Pictured on the back row (left to right) are Harold Flynn, Raymond Kitchen, Jack Counsel, Bernard McHugh, Joseph Orr and Colin Murray and on the front row (left to right) unknown, Teddy Nellany, Jacky Brown, unknown, Billy Gardiner and Alban Coughlin.
