GENEROUS Accrington clubbers helped to raise more than £500 over Easter for a local charity.
More than 4,500 people walked through the doors at Accrington bars and clubs during Easter, and handed over spare pennies to staff on the door.
The fund-raising was organised by Accrington-based DJs Jamie Harvey and Dan Johnson.
DJs who brought in the crowds included former Big Brother contestant Adele Roberts.
Jamie said: "This was Accrington's busiest Bank Holiday weekend on record, and every bar in town had a queue round the block.
"We work hard to help give something back to the community, and are pleased to be able to give what we can, thanks to the support of all the customers!"
The money raised goes to Rock FM charity Help a Local Child. The fund-raising starts again this Bank Holiday Sunday in Accrington.
