LEADING Rossendale insurance broker, James Trickett and Son, has expanded into Bacup.
Tricketts, who have had a presence in Rawtenstall for more than a century, has opened a new office on Irwell Terrace.
Trickett's Stephen Darwen, who is born and bred in Bacup, said: "The broker in the town, Hill House Hammond, is due to close its office in a few weeks and we wanted to be able to give people a face-to-face service, which they would otherwise be denied."
The insurance broker will cover all general insurance needs, from household and car to commercial and industrial.
Mr Darwen added: "This expansion is a very exciting development for the company. Tricketts was founded more than 120 years ago in Rawtenstall so we have a wealth of experience in the industry and local knowledge."
