THE case of a Leigh man accused of aggravated weapon possession and driving offences has been sent to the Crown Court by Rochdale magistrates.
John Martin Flatley, aged 44, of Maple Crescent, Leigh, faces charges of being a man who had served a six-year prison sentence who had in his possession a revolver and dismantled handgun and who drove while banned and without insurance.
It is alleged Flatley had been stopped in Rochdale last month and when the vehicle was searched firearms were found. He was remanded in custody to appear on May 17 at Bolton Crown Court.
