ARE the likes of Rob Wilcock and I Bolton ever going to take some responsibility to try and ensure that our roads are safe for all to use?
Unable to grasp a simple concept of crime and punishment, Rob now contends that pedestrians are to blame for the 3,500 deaths and 20,000 serious injuries on Britain's roads! (LET, April 20).
So now we know whose fault it is for the carnage on our motorways: not motorists, but jay-walking pedestrians who don't look both ways when crossing the M6.
And the bunches of flowers that adorn the verges of many lonely country roads? That's right, pedestrians again.
Come on councillors, let's see more 'pavement humps' to slow these pedestrians down.
Speed cameras can be adjusted slightly to catch anyone running on the pavement, and if motorists can ensure that they only park on pavements, then the roads will be safer for all of us.
