BLACKBURN Rovers' new scoring sensation Jonathan Stead appears to be getting better with each passing week.
Last week's brilliant winner against Everton was another stunning example of the 21-year-old's awesome finishing ability.
When Andy Cole's cross came over, no-one expected Stead to find the net from that kind of angle but the way he steered his header past Nigel Martyn was unreal and Graeme Souness, quite rightly, sang his young protege's praises afterwards for a wonderful piece of opportunism.
Now I see Sven Goran Eriksson's number two, Tord Grip, has described Stead as a possible England star of the future.
And if he keeps on finding the net like he is doing at the moment then Mr Grip may just have a point.
At this early stage in his development, it's important not to get too carried away too soon.
The real acid test will come next season when Stead will be under pressure to prove he's no flash in the pan.
Defenders will know more about him and he won't have the same element of surprise that he has currently.
But right now, he looks like a real prospect and the thing I like about him the most is his finishing.
When he gets a chance, he very rarely misses the target.
He's a different kind of finisher to Andy Cole. Jon has the ability to score from anywhere, whether it's a tap-in or a shot from distance, whereas Andy is very much a six-yard man.
Jon can only benefit from playing alongside someone of Andy's experience.
They appear to have struck up a decent understanding already and they could cause Manchester United more than a few problems tomorrow.
There's never been a better time for Rovers to play the Reds in the history of the Premiership.
United are still scrapping for second spot but there seems to be some unrest in the camp and Rovers should be looking to exploit that to the maximum.
