A TEENAGER is hoping to steal the crown of top clothes designers like Dolce and Gabbana as she prepares to open her own boutique.
Safiyyah Bhatia, of St Paul's Road, Preston, first learned to make clothes as a young girl helping her mother, Salma, a seamstress.
Now she plans to take the fashion world by storm by putting her own label, Safiyyah, on the map with her unique style of 'Anglo Indian' clothes at her boutique which will be on St Paul's Road.
Safiyyah, 19, has been designing clothes from evening dresses to casual wear for almost three years, taking inspiration from family visits to Gujarat, India. "I always look out for new ideas and it gave me some great ideas for my own designs.
"I can't wait to see my clothes on display in my own shop." said Safiyyah.
She has already wowed the audience at a charity fashion show, held by volunteers at Deepdale Women's Action Group, last Sunday night at New Central Club, St Mary's Street North, Preston.
The event raised £950 which will be split equally between Cancer Help Vine House and Deepdale Women's Action Group.
