FURTHER to the article (April 16) concerning redevelopment of the Brand Centre in Whitefield, I would like to set the record straight with regard to the repositioning of the Cafe Roma as part of the proposed McLean Homes proposal.
I take exception when developers assume, without any consultation with me or my partner, that they can state that they are going to "relocate" my business. There has not been any consultation with McLean Homes or their agents. Their assumption is typically high-handed and extremely inconsiderate.
It has resulted in many local residents, my customers, mistakenly assuming that I support the proposed McLean development. In future, I would ask that, before anyone refers to my business, or myself, by name they have the decency to consult me first.
ROCCO FULCHINI,
Cafe Roma, Whitefield.
