THE work on the extension to Rosegrove Infants School Owen Street has now started. When the building work is finished and opened it will provide after-school use and will make a useful contribution for the community. A grant of £25,000 was obtained for this extension.
WORK on Owen Street park is taking place to replace the old play equipment and make it safe. Work will include a new slide suitable for disabled children and other modern equipment and a fence to keep out dogs from fouling the play area. A £15,000 from Elevate has made this possible.
CONGRATULATIONS to the latest winners of the Girls Brigade at Greenbrook Church. Tamara Rickwood (explorers) Michelle Harrison (Juniors) Elizabeth Ingham (Seniors) Victoria McLean (Brigadiers) were the latest spot prize winners.
DON'T forget the Rosegrove Carnival on Sunday at Sycamore Ave. There will be a fairground, football, food stalls and a visit from Burnley Mayor Lilian Clark.
