A 63 YEAR-old pensioner died by choking on her own vomit after going to a neighbour's party with her husband, an inquest has heard.
Retired welfare officer Patricia Williamson, of Darwen, was discovered by her husband, Edward Williamson, a retired sales representative.
Mr Williamson told the inquest at Blackburn that after the party, on January 5, he had gone to bed and left his wife downstairs.
The couple had been to a neighbour's house for drinks that night.
Toxicology reports from the post mortem examination found that Mrs Williamson's blood alcohol level was four and a half times the legal driving limit. Coroner Michael Singleton recorded a verdict of accidental death.
